The centre at Rango provides training for those who wish to
become peacemakers in the world. As part of their work the trainees undertake
socio-cultural and intra-community reconciliation projects, playing an important
part in APAX’s peace education work in surrounding areas. By stimulating
dialogues within and between communities, they are learning how to play a role
in mediating conflict, providing an open space for discussion.
The construction of a new training centre for peacemakers at Rango is underway. Members of the APAX have been cultivating the land, producing various fruits and vegetables for the community. The work has provided the community with maize, sweet potatoes and guavas amongst numerous others.
